Happy Nose, Happy Baby and a very Happy Mom

As a parent, it is obvious to set out the highest hopes and expectations out of the child. When a child is diagnosed with even a minor health issue, these aspirations are then altered. While one parent might be hoping to see the child graduate from a big University, years down the line another is praying that the child can live a pain free and a long healthy life. I believe the hardest part about being a parent is watching the little baby go through something really tough and not being able to fix it for them.. This indeed, is a very miserable feeling.

Not being able to play like other babies or sleep peacefully was the issue we were dealing with my niece and all this just because of her blocked nose.

This case of rhinitis stopped the smiles and playful energy of my niece and we immediately wanted some solution that could tackle this issue with kid gloves: hard on the problem and easy on the patient.

I never thought nose blockage would have such an adverse effect on my little niece’s life:

?Sleep deprivation – Yes, this was a major issue which we were unable to resolve as nasal congestion was not allowing her to sleep peacefully resulting in her getting deprived of sleep and feeling drowsy all the time.

?Crankiness – A child can get extremely cranky because of the discomfort caused due to nasal congestion.

?Difficulty in eating/avoid eating – Due to nasal congestion, she was avoiding food as she was finding it extremely difficult to eat with a blocked nose.

?Obligatory nose breathers – Do you know, children between the age group of 0 – 1-year-olds are obligatory nose breathers and if they happen to suffer from Nasal congestion, they have difficulty in breathing.

Thankfully, we were introduced to Nasivion® Child Nose Drops by a family friend. Continue reading “Happy Nose, Happy Baby and a very Happy Mom”

Living in a Fast Metropolitan city, waking up every day to new challenges and competition and the race to follow your dreams where are you are left with no time to pursue other activities.
I do feel bad that in my pursuit of earning a living and improving my standard of living , I sometimes tend to overlook my social responsibilities and can barely manage to remove any time for underprivileged section of the society.

A couple of days ago when I was surfing online for some NGO’s , I happen to come across Shishu Sarothi organisation.
Shishu Sarothi organisation began its journey in 1987 with special trained educator and some volunteers for disabled children .
