What is hemp?

Hemp also known as Cannabis can be divided into three subcategories:
1. Cannabis sativa
2. Cannabis indica
3. Cannabis ruderalis
All these subspecies have different growth properties but they contain similar or identical properties. Hemp is a plant which is grown all over the world especially in the northern hemisphere and is known for its medicinal and nutritional properties. Its oil is a source of health-boosting properties.
Hemp is usually mistaken with marijuana. These two plants are entirely different. Marijuana contains a high concentration of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which has psychoactive properties and on the other hand hemp contains small traces of THC.
