Finding the best foundation colour shade is no rocket science but at the same time it equally crucial to get your make up right.
Determining your undertone:
Before you pick the foundation colour you need to know the undertones of your skin.
And the best way to find undertone of your skin is to have a look at the veins on your wrist .
Blue veins indicates cool undertones and green veins means you have slightly warm tones.
Bomb undertones have traces of red and gold In their skin and they may get dark in the sun but they never burn.
The undertones of my skin is warm and therefore the perfect shade for me is yellow or gold-based foundation.
Right shade:
With so many brands and innumerable shades with different coverage levels available in the market it can get confusing to decide and pick just one from the hundreds of options available.
Other than finding the right shade it is also important to note the texture, formula and the coverage of the product that is apt for you.
Always do a patch test before picking up the foundation.
I always prefer to do the patch test on my face and not on my wrist.
The trick is to find the right spot between the centre of your face and to slowly blend the foundation to words the headline to match the middle of your neck and the sides of your cheeks.
Unless you require extreme colour correction I would advise you to not fight against your skins natural undertones.
The next key is to decide the level of coverage you require it could be anywhere from medium to heavy and full coverage.
If you’re looking for a foundation for daily use you can prefer to go for a light to medium coverage even as it is buildable if required for night outs and parties.
One cannot neglect the skin type whether you have a oily or dry skin.
Usually matte foundations are apt for combination to oily skin types.
Also happened that you may need to change your foundation depending upon the seasons as your skin requirements differ from season to season.
After a lot experimentation and trial and error I have listed down below my four favourite foundations:
1.Huda beauty Faux filter foundation:
This is definitely one of the most heavy and full coverage foundation I have ever tried.
Just less than half a drop is able to cover my entire face and neck and gives it a complete full coverage.
I am using the shade Panna cotta happens to be one of the lightest shared amongst all.
I would recommend this foundation for bridal make up and partywearand not for daily use.
It’s completely covers all the dark circles and is the perfect coverage.
The only thing is we need to blend it extremely well and also use a lot of moisturiser or a primer before using this foundation.
Or it can be extremely drying and can clog your pores.
Also another con that I would like to mention is it is extremely pricey but I am not complaining because honestly I found it worth the price. Continue reading “Best foundation”→

1. Glow tonic cleansing gel:
This is one hydrating cleansing gel which successfully removes all the impurities without stripping the skin of essential moisture.
The perfect combination of Moisclean and a unique blend of glycolic acid , horse chestnut extract and ginseng helps to brighten the complexion and refining the skin texture leaving at totally energised and smooth.
While Aloe vera hydrates the skin , ginseng Helps in improving blood circulation and energises the skin.
This can be used in the morning as well as at night. A small amount is enough to be applied on damp skin and it needs to be gently massaged for 30 seconds avoiding the eye area post which you can rinse clean and Pat dry.
I still value the age old skincare tips and remedies passed on to me by my grandmother and mother for youthful glowing skin – age old skincare Ayurveda.
I am sure you can relate to me if you have a super sensitive skin too like me. I am always looking for an alternative for facials because most of the times they cause so much irritation and redness and does more harm than good for my skin.
Therefore, I prefer to try natural skin care products and face packs for my skin which can easily be a substitute for salon clean up most of the times.
Recently, I happen to come across a brand on social media which is a harmonious fusion of nature and tradition with contemporary convenience, HOLISTIC TATV.
