Bloggers meet for Palm oil

I was enthralled to be a part of the Bloggers meet for Palm oil cum Food Hunt event on 30th September 2019 .

The fun theme of this event was Bollywood and everyone was dressed as their favourite actor/actress.

All the bloggers were pleased to be assembled at Sunville Banquet after which there was a insightful Presentation by Dr Bhavna Shah ( Country Representative India and SriLanka – Malaysian Palm Oil Council)

and Mr Sandeep Bhan (COO of Sime Darby Oils, Part of Sime Darby Plantation, the biggest producer of sustainable Palm Oil. He has been in the industry for more than last 23 years, worked in various countries.)

Insights about Palm oil:

Dr Bhavna Shah enlightened us about how palm oil and its products has been used in traditional households and be a perfect replacement for hydrogenated oils such as soybean oil and canola.

While we would dread the sight of a court in real life, we sure like watching it on screen. Seeing intriguing cases being opened and solves in the confines of a courtroom makes for quite a watch.

Hence, I have created a short list of great courtroom movies that Hindi cinema has seen in recent times. From corporate battles to murder mysteries, this genre has it all.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu

The latest movie in this list, Batti Gul Meter Chalu has Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Divyendu Sharma in the lead. Taking on the issue of inflated electricity bills in small towns, the movie has its leads in never before seen roles.

With Shahid Kapoor playing a street-smart lawyer, the movie raises quite a few relevant questions about the world we live in today. Apart from the social theme, the unique dialect, humour and performances are the other highlights of the film.

Kyo Kii… Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta

This Govinda movie is comedy gold. The humorous scenarios that play out in the first half of the movie can make anyone roll with laughter.

Even when the courtroom scene kicks in, Govinda is able to skillfully balance humour and seriousness with ease. It’s still a treat to watch Govinda’s character in the movie struggle to lie and the issues that follow.
